Overview:

The Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) report is the internationally recognised cornerstone document for evidence-based asthma management. The 2026 update will incorporate several years of new clinical trial data, real-world evidence, and evolving treatment paradigms. Clinicians globally rely on GINA for their practice but often struggle to interpret and implement new changes efficiently. This webinar, delivered directly by the GINA leadership and science committee members, is critical to ensure rapid, accurate, and practical dissemination of the new guidelines. It will bridge the gap between publication and clinical application, ultimately improving adherence to best practices and patient outcomes across all age groups and asthma severities.

Topics:

  • Overview of GINA 2026: major changes in strategy and key new recommendations for adults and adolescents.
  • Updates in severe and acute asthma: new evidence and guidance on the management of severe asthma phenotypes and the treatment of acute exacerbations in adults.
  • Paediatric asthma management: revised approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of asthma in children according to the 2026 report.
  • Practical implementation: interactive discussion on applying the new recommendations to clinical case scenarios across different patient groups.
