It is with heavy hearts that GINA shares the news that our dear Board member, colleague, teacher and friend, Mark FitzGerald passed away on January 18, 2022. Mark’s work with GINA over the past 25 years has been instrumental in reducing the global burden of asthma. Mark was a compassionate leader and strong advocate for improving the diagnosis and management of asthma. Mark’s guidance will be missed dearly but his research, legacy, and commitment to helping the world breathe better remain a guiding force in our daily work.
