GINA would like to inform everyone about a minor update to the Report, published on the GINA website on November 14, 2025, and good news about access to GINA resources.
The main reason for the update to the GINA 2025 Report was to correct an error in the dose of nebulized salbutamol for children aged 5 years and younger with an exacerbation of asthma. The dose has been corrected on page 201 from 0.25 mg to 2.5 mg. The correct dose had been stated in other locations in the Report.
We have also taken the opportunity of this update to clarify some wording in the Report where we had become aware of some ambiguity, including about criteria for the diagnosis of asthma in children aged 5 years and younger, and about factors contributing to variability in blood eosinophil count and exhaled nitric oxide. You will find details of the changes on page 21 of the updated GINA 2025 Report, in the ‘What’s new in GINA 2025?’ section. Similar changes have been made in an updated GINA 2025 slide set.
The updated 2025 Report and updated 2025 slide set are available now for free download from the GINA website (www.ginasthma.org/reports). We encourage you to update your copy of these updated resources.
We are also very pleased to advise that all GINA resources are now once again available for free download for personal use. Thankfully, the GINA Board of Directors has been able to remove the temporary paywall for accessing GINA resources that was reluctantly imposed in July due to financial pressures on GINA. As for many years, you are still able to purchase clean (non-watermarked) print or pdf copies of GINA resources through the GINA website.
If you have questions or need further clarification, please contact us at info@ginasthma.org.
Thank you for your attention to this important news and for your dedication to implementing best practices in asthma care.
